For my post birthday celebration, I went to BLD and Larchmont Bungalow. We had the blueberry ricotta pancakes and classic eggs benedict with chorizo fries at BLD. I also had the grapefruit juice from BLD. Their eggs benedict was good. Their hollandaise sauce was not too heavy. Eggs were perfectly poached. Chorizo fries was savory and not too heavy. The blueberry ricotta pancake was light and fluffy (compared to my homemade ones). Freshly squeeze grapefruit juice was tart and tasted healthy to balance out the meal.
Dessert was at Larchmont with their red and blue velvet pancakes. I was still full from breakfast so I only too two bites. It wasn't as good as the first time. The pancakes were super dense but the flavor of red velvet really comes through. Cream cheese frosting is not too sweet (i like).
