march random things

Here are some random photos of food. I haven't been eating out a lot. I have to restrain myself from eating out coz I don't want my doctor to get mad.  (btw, the last three photos are taken by my sister)

Filipino Spaghetti (my signature dish...haha...it's super easy)

tomato alfredo penne dish

breakfast pasta (copycat of Hugo's pasta mama)

My current addiction: spicy sardines, rice, and atchara (picked papaya with carrots, shallots, and garlic) from the Philippines...I LOVE!!!

slow cooked corned beef brisket. It's to die for! The fats are buttery good!!!

My corned beef pandesal (not from a can and with butter!!! haha...love you Paula Deen!)

farmer's market strawberries

fresh n easy's rocky road...my current ice cream obsession

zane's baptism

Last Saturday was my godson's baptism (Zane). He's super cute! I'm a proud godmother! It's nice to know that your friends trust you to guide their son/daughter. I love being one!
Anyways, after church, we had late lunch at Cham Sut Gol in Garden Grove. The restaurant was nice and neat and not too smoky like some other korean bbq restaurants. Their banchans was good. I really like their cold noodles (reminds me of pansit bihon but cold), steamed egg dish, and mashed potatoes (mixed with veggies...radicchio, etc). Their marinated meat was good too.  They had a spicy one but I didn't really like it since I'm not really fond of kimchi. For dessert, they have ice cream (choose your own). Service was good too.

marinated beef, pork, etc.

bouchon bakery's chocolate macarons

I've been craving for it for ages (more like almost three months---since November when I forgot to visit the Napa valley one...ugh!). There's nothing like it. The cookie cracks perfect when you bite into it and the filling is moist and chocolate-y. YUM! I wish they have a dark chocolate version. Bouchon bakery chocolate macarons...my favorite...my love! :)
